Getting Started with Lebara Mobile

  • Where can I buy Lebara Mobile?

Lebara Mobile SIM cards and recharge vouchers are available from thousands of shops, including: Allphones, Crazy Johns, 7 Eleven, Coles Express, Caltex, United Petroleum, and Harvey Norman. To find your nearest store click here or call us on 126 122 from your Lebara Mobile or 1300 126 122 from any other phone.

 

  • How do I activate my SIM?

You can activate your SIM online at www.lebara-mobile.com.au/activate or call us on 126 122 from your Lebara Mobile. You'll need your passport or Australian drivers licence when you do this.

 

  • Can I bring my existing mobile phone number to Lebara Mobile?


You can transfer your current mobile number to Lebara Mobile only when you first activate your SIM.

You must be the account holder to transfer your current number. You will also need the following information:

 

• Your current mobile number

• Your date of birth

• Your existing Mobile Service Provider

 

If you are on contract with another provider, you will also need to supply the Account number

 

 

  • What mobile handsets can I use with Lebara Mobile?


The handset needs to be compatible with the internationally recognised GSM standards, adopted by all the major handset manufacturers. There are no other restrictions on the type of handset you can use with Lebara Mobile. Please call our customer services team on 1300 126 122 if you are unsure about your handset.

 

 

  • How many Mobile numbers can I register?

Generally, the maximum number of mobile numbers registered under one name is 3. Each mobile service should be registered under a valid name and address. Restrictions could be placed on the mobile if this does not occur.  If you need to register more than 3 mobile numbers in your name, please contact our customer care team on 1300 126 122.

 

  • My handset seems to be locked

If your mobile phone handset is locked to another network you may need to contact them to unlock your phone. Click here for more details.

  • How much does it cost to call Lebara Mobile Customer Services?

Calls to 126 122 from your Lebara Mobile are free. Calls to 1300 126 122 from other networks are charged at your service provider’s standard national rate.

 

 

  • How do I make an international call with Lebara Mobile?

When making international calls, Lebara mobile works just as other mobiles or fixed line services.

 

Calling an international fixed line: Dial the ‘+’ symbol followed by the destination country code, then the area code excluding the ‘0’ at the beginning followed by the phone number.

 

Calling an international mobile: Dial the ‘+’ symbol followed by the destination country code, then the mobile number excluding the ‘0’ at the beginning.

  • How do I send a text message from Australia to another country with Lebara Mobile?

Lebara Mobile works in the same way as other mobiles when it comes to sending international text messages. When sending an international SMS, after typing the message, dial the ‘+’ symbol followed by the destination country code, then the mobile number excluding the ‘0’ at the beginning.

 

 

  • How do I turn on/off a call divert to voicemail?

To divert all your calls to voicemail dial 1212 from your Lebara Mobile and wait for the voice prompt to confirm this has been activated.

 

To remove the divert all calls to voicemail dial 1213 from your Lebara Mobile and wait for the voice prompt to confirm this has been activated

 

 

  • How long is the Expiry?

The call credit for Lebara Mobile expires after 90 days from last recharge.

 

 

  • Do you offer international roaming?

We don’t currently offer international / global roaming, however we are looking to introduce this in the near future. If you are travelling to Europe you can purchase a Lebara SIM from selected countries. Please visit www.lebara.com for a listing of these countries.

 

 

  • I have not used my Lebara Mobile for a while and it has now stopped working. Why is this?

We automatically deactivate SIM cards if you do not recharge the Service for a continuous period of 120 days. Unfortunately these SIM cards cannot be reconnected and the mobile number also stops being available for you to use after this time.

 

 

  • Premium SMS/MMS Charges

If you have a query concerning premium SMS/MMS service charges please contact the content supplier directly. Details of the content supplier can be found at www.19sms.com.au

 

 

  • Call charges to Jakarta, Indonesia

Calls to Jakarta, Indonesia which have the country code and area code +62 21 are charged at 1c per minute. Calls to any other area codes in Indonesia are charged at 10c per minute. A 25c flagfall applies to all calls.
